Frequently Asked Questions

HEEEYYYY!  have a question!

Sometimes I  see other dogs in your photos. Who are those dogs?

As a family, we operate a small farm, including goats and chickens.  Those animals are highly susceptible to predators such as coyotes, hawks, foxes, raccoons, and many more.  In order to keep our animals safe, we have livestock guardian dogs named Millie (Millicent) and Tillie (Matilda).  They are both mixed breeds including Anatolian Shepherd and Great Pyrenees.  We also have an older golden/shepherd rescue that started our love for the golden breed named Shiloh.

How do you decide on a stud dog?

At this point, we have only female dogs in our home.  As a result, we will choose a stud dog from another breeder and pay for their services.  We will be considering many factors when choosing our stud, including but not limited to ensuring all health testing is done to our standards and making sure the stud is cared for as a pet and is part of their family, just as our dogs are part of our family.

This will show investment in the breed of golden retrievers as well as allowing us to show support breeders who hold similar values to ours.

In addition to health testing, we will be considering stud traits, mental and physical, which support our program and goals for our dogs.  This will allow us to take our dogs amazing qualities and provide puppies who are equal to or better than her! Great golden retrievers for everyone!
